Equal Opportunities Statement

It is vital to the Charlton Village Residents Association that the entire village is equally represented. With this in mind the CVRA will actively seek to promote equal opportunities within the community and within its membership.

The CVRA values diversity and promotes good relations with all members of the community and will not discriminate. Membership is open to all people living in Charlton Village who accept the aims of the CVRA, irrespective of nationality, race, religious or political beliefs, ethnic or national origin, sex, sexual orientation, colour, disability or age. The CVRA will endeavour, where possible, to hold meetings in venues that are accessible and will also live stream meetings when possible and appropriate for those who are not able to attend in person.

Acknowledging that different parts of Charlton Village faces different challenges. It is the hope of the CVRA that membership will be made up of residents from all corners of the village to equally represent residents from all areas of Charlton Village.

The Association recognises that all sections of the community have a positive contribution to make to the life of our communities. The Association will represent the interests of all local residents to the best of its ability and carry on the day to day business of the Association in an efficient, fair and responsive way.
